Some of You might have experienced the same problem when buying a new throttle cable. To get get the needed slack in the cables I had to remove the nut on adjuster screw on top of the carburetor. To keep the screws steady I have used glue.

Yesterday I actually managed to keep the slack in the cables even when nut is back again. What I did was actually to remove some 4-5 mm of the threads on the bended adjuster unit on the handle bar. (That adjuster unit which some use when adjusting the slides)

My solution was to sand the adjuster nuts to around half their widths...

Time and time again these reproduction companies get it 99% right then really f*ck up the last 1% so we have to cobble something to make it work...

Up until recently the OEM cable (black) was available from Kaw. Maybe worth an  inquiry at the dealer...

That's the way to go IF you can find one..........especially on a BIG carbed H2 (38mm).............the NOS H1 are 2mm longer at the slides............Scott is right on that............I got one a few years ago, have not found another though   Confused
