That crank assembly must have been dropped on it's end with the rotor attached to bend like that. Never seen the rotor stub bend line that..

"I bet that rotor would shake like a dog passing a peach seed."

Now THAT is funny!

Didn't happen while running, bent the wrong direction even is all the webs were out of phase isn't it? Looks like a doorstop, for a very large door!

I was thinking it was possible this bike could have been involved in a crash maybe?   The history is unknown.

Did a ceramic bearing crank the other day.  The bearings are 30grams/44grams lighter per bearing on the H2 and man does it spin SMOOOOOOTH!!

I have added a new option for bearings.  Poly cages like shown above for the ceramic bearings but with the steel balls.  It is less friction than the traditional steel cages. The cost is an additional $175 over the standard rebuild cost of $395.

My last ceramic bearing crank lasted 7 seasons and when the old bearings were sent back to Dave at WWB he said they were  perfect.  He will actually rebuild them for you so you only have the added expense one time.  And he makes them in any size so you can order a transmission kit, wheel bearing kits, etc.  Every ball bearing on my bike is ceramic.

Dave and Charlie...bearing/crank heaven.

That is an excellent testimonial for the ceramic bearings! I was wondering how well those poly cages would hold up but that question was just answered above!

jeff
PS...I think Charlie is posting these pics just to make us want to RE-send the cranks back to be fitted with the ceramics.....crank porn! LOL
